I got one of these the other day. I really like the feel of it the only thing I don't like is that it comes with a small extension piece which looks tacky. It's almost like when they first designed it the port was too small so rather than fix it it comes with this little connector that takes the small port and upgrades it to a normal N64 Port so it doesn't slip out.

I got one of these the other day. I really like the feel of it the only thing I don't like is that it comes with a small extension piece which looks tacky. It's almost like when they first designed it the port was too small so rather than fix it it comes with this little connector that takes the small port and upgrades it to a normal N64 Port so it doesn't slip out.

No, it's not. It doesn't properly fit the controller port so instead of fixing it and eating the cost of their error they're shipping them with a tacky extension.

Or maybe after they made this controller for their own Hyperkin retromod clone console they thought "hey if we make this super cheap little adapter to fit the real N64 we'll sell more controllers. The adapter only costs a penny or two."

FPGA, basically a hardware based n64 emulator with hdmi out. Open source and someone has already built cfw that supports other console cores.
