The input and output port hole is the same. After the fog juice is forced out of the machine it has to be able to take in fresh air through the same opening.
I always empty the tank for storage.
These things are nothing move that a clothes iron, upside down, in a container with 1 hole.
When hot, a small pump sprays fog juice onto the hot surface to produce fog.
The more watts the more fog per cycle.
