Never buy from VIPOUTLET.

Shame on Slickdeals for allowing these sleezeballs on their site.

How many members need to be rooked before a seller is banned?

eBays feedback system now automatically reports positive feedback for transactions where no feedback is left. eBay also allows revision of feedback 'up'. This seller maintains around a 95% feedback score- so even after their gimmicks they're still messing up 1 in 20 transactions so badly that they keep that negative feedback, and this is on thousands and thousands of transactions per month, so this isn't a couple oops messing up the average.

Every thread with VIP Outlet has horror story after horror story- wrong item received, empty box received, destroyed item received, items missing from packages, incorrect versions, counterfeit items... Refunds are slow if received- many times taking the full time for eBay to step in. CS is slow to respond, and when they do there isn't anything they can or will do to remedy the situation. Once you waste enough time and energy getting through their stalling, they then sometimes offer a return, maybe without a restocking fee (have you improved the feedback you left to neutral or positive?)...

It goes on and on. The seller believes they are too big to fail and don't care about their customers. Slickdeals shouldn't allow them on the platform.

Walmart noticed that a lot of people were buying their in-store clearances and reselling it online and making a lot of profit. So they made an agreement with VIP Outlet to do the samething, Walmart sells all their clearance stuff online through VIP Outlet. 100% of all the stuff I have bought from them has been shipped with a return address of a random Walmart store. So far I would say I have had 90% success rate in terms of getting good deals from them for stuff that has arrived brand new.

However, their shipping practices are horrible. They are the worst I have seen. packages are thrown in cheap paper/cardboard bags that arrived ripped all-over, devices with very little protections, boxes again that are ripped and very cheap, etc. My guess is that they are using in-store Walmart employees that can care less for shipping and packaging stuff.

One of the bad experiences I had was with a Nintendo Switch console. It was shipped without the original box, inside a bag, with zero padding or anything to protect it. It was advertised as open box excellent conditions brand new. It had scratches on the screen which I don't know if they happened during shipping or before.

Their customer service is a gamble. They took 3 or 4 months to reply back to one of my queries through eBay, the issue I had had long been resolved by eBay itself. In other cases they have replied right away.

I still buy from them as you can find really good deals from them but whatever I buy, I do it with the expectation that I might have to return it and make a claim. Also, I have seen a lot of people buying from them to give whatever they are buying as a gift to someone else. Do not rely on VIP for gifts. I haven't received a single item from them were the retail box looks decent. Which make sense since most of these things are returns, open boxes, stuff that has been tumbling around their stores, etc.

Sounds like my experience with the shipping practices of Decluttr.

Is it unrealistic to hope this reaches $20 on Black Friday this year?

I think it will like Suikoden 1 & 2 did. I have the switch version in my collection but I want to get a PS5 version too.
