Which means 2.0ah battery and charger is $60 and not very attractive pricing.

For the tool, I found it useful if I need to caulking the entire bathtub or more. it really save some finger muscle power. one disadvantage is that the tool is long (compare to manual ones) and not suitable for confined space.

Cheapest I see there is $64 for reconditioned.

I bought this tool a few years back for caulking my garage. For me, it was overkill. Could've been done with a high quality manual caulk gun, IMO (not those cheap $10 caulk guns at the stores but maybe $30-40 ones). However, this came in handy (big time) when i was injecting basement crack filler a few years later. Using a manual one with crack filler exhaused my hand grip quickly.

Don't expect to use this for bathrooms/kitchens--it's too big, and doesn't allow enough control. The speed adjustment is via a dial on the top, and even the lowest speed pushes a lot of caulk. I did find it useful for laying down bulk lap seal on the roof of my RV, but not as much as I hoped. For anywhere that required finesse I opted for my hand powered gun.
