Per the last thread, CS1815 should be the better updated chainsaw with an improved chain tensioner. Was a bit sad to have missed the last deal but this is even cheaper. Half buying for the chainsaw, half buying for the battery.

I have this for a few years, it's cut great, but battery dies real fast when cutting hard wood, like 10 minutes and it give away. On softer wood it's easy and last a decent amount but hard wood, don't expect more than 10 minutes runtime

Mine is awaiting pickup. Don't dilly on this Deal Of The Day at Lowe's. Waiting four months for this deal. Thought I would have to wait until BF but it popped up now. Web site will tell you how many hours are left for this deal. I used my Pro Card and saved 5% $283.00 Out The Door. More saw that I wanted but the battery cost more than this, I can probably downsize the bar and chain to a more nimble 16' HURRY!! going fast.you can always cancel if you have regret. But if you truly need this saw for winter you might jump on it.

I already have the 18" chainsaw But the battery makes it worth buying another and I can sell my older one (2022)EGO stuff is very good. And I make sure to maintain the blade and chain oil.

I have the older version. Legit saw. It works hard and isn't too unwieldy. I wonder if the "throw the battery on the ground" trick fixes the red ring of death like the old 5 ah.

If I had a need for a chainsaw, I'd jump on this deal. As it stands, it's easier to just buy after market batteries than to buy this for the battery and have to go through the trouble of selling the chainsaw.
