Exceptional deal for anyone needing batteries using Ridgid's ecosystem, especially for MaxOutput batteries.
Max Output use the larger 21700 cells. 6Ah at 18v requires 10× cells in a 5s2p configuration. With the average cost of $5-9retail ($3-5bulk) per cell, plus manufacturering and distribution costs, these batteries are likely being sold by HD as a lost leader to attract customers in, and lock buyers into Ridgid's powertool line.
Between national in-store availability (global considering AEG cross compatibility), Ridgid's Lifetime Service Agreement, DTO Outlet sales, and HD's revolving doorbuster Ridgid deals, it's really difficult NOT to recommend Ridgid Powertools to anyone deciding which tool ecosystem to adopt..

I wonder if you need a new charger with it or it's compatible with the older one. Not a slick deal if you need a new charger tbh.
If you still have a NiCad charger from last century, then you'll have to get a new one. But any Ridgid 18v Li-ion charger from the last couple decades will work with these batteries.
