Can these be use for purchasing movies via athome.fandango.com (i.e. streaming)?

Update: I was able to add to my athome.fandango.com account. Though can only have 3 in the account at a time (have to spend one before adding the 4th)

These Fandango eGift cards are mainly useful for movie tickets, with some confirmation that they also load into a Fandango at Home account for streaming purchases. The four pack can run into account limits, since only three cards can sit on file at once and the fourth may need to be added later. The balance still shows correctly, and the two pack avoids that hassle while working the same way. A practical way to stretch them is through Fandango deals and mix and match movie offers.

Common Questions (5)

  • They can be added to a Fandango at Home account and used there, but the four-pack can hit account limits. Only 3 cards can be held on file at once, so you may need to spend one before adding another.

  • They are reported to work for Fandango ticketing services, and some cards can also be added to a Fandango at Home account. The practical limitation is the account cap, not the card format itself.

  • Only 3 gift cards can be held on the account at a time, and there also appears to be a 24-hour limit when adding them. If the 4th card fails, waiting a day can let it go through.

  • Yes. The 2x$50 pack can be added to a Fandango at Home account and avoids the limits that affect the 4x$25 pack.

    CostaRicas1onomo

  • Yes, multiple packs can be purchased; one buyer reported ordering 8 cards total. Other sites may cap $25 cards at 4 or 5, but this Costco deal did not appear to enforce that same purchase limit.

Looks to be only valid for movie theater tickets.

And for spending ideas, just go to deals, then mix and match, and you can get 5 4K movies for $15 from Warner Bros (all MA), essentially making them $2.40 per movie.

Just purchased 8 cards. Thanks for posting this deal. I was actually surprised that I could buy more than 4. Other sites cap the $25 cards at 4, maybe 5 in my experience.

What's weird is that I was able to add 3 to my account, spend one, then the 4th wouldn't add. I reached out to CS and they said it's because they're only valid for fandango ticketing services. I haven't replied to their email yet, I don't want them to look into my current gift card in my account if that's actually true.

Yes, this is the regular price for Costco and offers 20% off, which matches the highest discount you're going to get. I appreciate searching SD for "fandango" and seeing this posted.

I got in on this deal. Tried adding all 4 to my account but you can only have 3 on file. Spent some money on movies, but now when I go to add the 4th and final card in the empty gift card spot I get a couldn't complete error. Checking the balance one line it still shows $25. Contacted customer service and they want a copy of the front and back (not sure there is a back to a digital card). Joy. Hope I don't get screwed out of the last gift card.

Update. Just went thru all 4 cards again and a day later I was able to add the 4th and final card.

^^You can only add 3 gift cards within a 24-hour period. Try again after that.

I just bought the 2 x $50 Fandango Gift Cards for $79.99 and added both to my Fandango at Home account. They work! Also the two-pack completely bypasses the account limits that plague the four-pack.
