WORKPRO's 8 piece flex head ratcheting metric wrench set stands out as a compact, budget friendly option for tight automotive work and a car kit. The 72 tooth ratcheting action and flex head make it useful in cramped spaces, and the included sizes cover common jobs like battery terminals and 10 millimeter fasteners. Long term use has held up well, with several years of service reported and quality described as solid for the money. The main tradeoff is the missing 9, 16, 18, and 19 millimeter sizes, though some of those gaps can be covered with SAE equivalents.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. The 10mm size makes it useful for battery terminals and other common automotive tasks, and it is a practical car-kit set for tight spaces where a socket may not fit.

  • It is not quite as good as Gearwrench, but it is still considered very good for the money and good enough for most DIYers. Compared with other budget sets, the price works out to under four dollars per wrench.

  • The set has held up well in long-term use, with reports of 2 years and even about 5 years without breakage. It is described as solid quality for the money, though it is not the kind of wrench set people would choose for heavy everyday abuse.

  • 16mm is close to 5/8 SAE, and 19mm is close to 3/4 SAE. Those equivalents can cover some jobs, but the fit is not universal for every fastener.

  • The set includes 8mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, and 17mm. It skips 9mm, 16mm, 18mm, and 19mm, so it covers most common jobs but not every metric size.

Low quality toolset that's made in China with only 864 review on Amazon, but 343 thumbs up here, lol. Welcome to Bot Central.

These are combination wrenches not sockets. You'll never find a set of flex head ratcheting combination with six points let alone regular wrenches anywhere near this price.
So what? I was replying to the one saying they PREFERRED 6 point wrenches over 12 point. Obviously they don't use wrenches much. I have this set. It's a good tool but not something you would prefer to use everyday.

Have you ever used 6 point wrenches? They grip better of course but can be difficult to get on a fastener if you have limited access and if you had plenty of room you would use a socket.
These are combination wrenches not sockets. You would typically use these in tight places that you cant get a socket on

The quality is sufficient. I have these and they are good. Most people don't need a $600 snap on set. I have nice tools but for a car kit this is fine.
