Decent little speaker for the price. You can get better sounding for the money but not in this tiny form. Getting two to pair in stereo would be ideal.

They're 39.99 everywhere. And the soundcore select 4 is $25. Jbl may sound marginally better. Choose wisely.

Would this be a good option for a 15yo boy to throw on his backpack? He likes to listen to music when he's working out or practicing throwing. Thinking about grabbing one for a stocking stuffer.
Or would I be better off spending a bit more and getting the JBL Clip 4/5?

This would be fine for a 15 yo. These small speakers get pretty loud for their size.
