This 64GB SanDisk High Endurance Ring Edge microSD card is built for frequent overwrites, making it a fit for dash cams, surveillance cameras, and Ring Alarm Pro local storage. The card is described as working in any device that accepts microSD, with several reports of solid performance in hot and cold conditions and in 24, 7 recording setups. The main caveat is compatibility and longevity, since some dash cams do not support 64GB cards or prefer max endurance models, and a few reports describe SanDisk endurance card failures in certain camera setups. A practical option if your device supports the capacity and endurance class.

  • Dash cam drivers who overwrite footage continuously, because high-endurance cards are designed for repeated writes and can handle heat and cold better than standard cards.

  • Drivers using single-channel dash cams, because 64GB is reported to work reliably in many models that accept that capacity.

  • Ring Alarm Pro owners adding local camera storage, because the card enables Ring Edge processing and up to 64GB of local video storage.

  • Drivers whose dash cams are known to have compatibility issues with this card, because it has been reported to fail in certain car camera setups.

  • Owners of dash cams that require larger cards, because some models only work reliably with 256GB to 512GB microSD cards.

  • People using cameras for nonstop 24/7 recording, because the 64GB high-endurance rating is stated at 5,000 hours, which can be under a year.

Does this work for dashcams?
You should read up on the issues that Viofos have with Sandisk branded cards. I need a new microsd right now, but I'm not buying this deal. I've had three dead sandisk high endurance cards in the past two years.

High Endurance or Max Endurance microSD cards are designed for continuous loop recording - dashcams or surveillance cameras.
The Sandisk high endurance cards have a known issue with the dash cams I use in our cars. I need another new card, but I won't be buying this deal

It says sold out for me. I bet the AI's bought them all up. They're so selfish and hungry for memory.

Those are not High Endurance cards, which would be a direct comparison here. The High Endurance PNY cards are $88 for 3 https://www.amazon.com/PNY-64GB-E...B0F4LKYDBF
high endurance cards are overrated.

the PNY Elite X card is better than sandisk high endurance.

Like SSDs, they use NANDs with a higher DWPD or MTBF rating.
Some industrial high endurance memory cards use MLC or even SLC NANDs, and they support S.M.A.R.T. like a SSD.
Not these consumer endurance cards. They use the same NANDs but with more spare blocks.

Any device.

I have used these for a decade+ for my dash cam. Here it can be 140+ in direct light... add the cars closed interior, recipe for disaster. Cold weather also, sub zero one winter and others push teens to 20s at nite.

Have not had any issues. Only replacement was when it was stolen from cam. Not an everyday item SD, made for extreme weather.
These have the same temperature rating as everyday SD cards.

Thanks Nice feedback. How is the 64 gb size for dashcam use? Do you think it's enough? About how many hours is that for your dashcam?
Most dash cams write over old video and if you're in an accident, you'll have the footage saved anyway. Some cameras will store user selected video in separate folder if your camera has that feature. All I use is the 64gb with no problem.
