This 64GB SanDisk High Endurance Ring Edge microSD card is built for frequent overwrites, making it a fit for dash cams, surveillance cameras, and Ring Alarm Pro local storage. The card is described as working in any device that accepts microSD, with several reports of solid performance in hot and cold conditions and in 24, 7 recording setups. The main caveat is compatibility and longevity, since some dash cams do not support 64GB cards or prefer max endurance models, and a few reports describe SanDisk endurance card failures in certain camera setups. A practical option if your device supports the capacity and endurance class.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. It works in any device that accepts microSD cards, but its main advantage is higher write endurance for frequent overwrite use. That makes it a better fit for dash cams, surveillance cameras, and other continuous-recording devices.

  • It can be enough for many single-channel dash cams, but some 4K or 3-channel models require 256GB to 512GB. For 24/7 recording, 64GB is roughly a little over 3 weeks in one example and is rated around 5,000 hours in another, so capacity may be limiting for always-on use.

  • Viofo does not recommend this card and recommends a max-endurance option instead. Some users report no problems in dash cams, but others report failures or known compatibility issues with Viofo setups.

  • PROTECTSUBSCRIBER reportedly worked for the listed deal, while PROTECTPLAN was pre-filled for some accounts and can give 10% off with a paid Ring plan. The two codes do not stack.

  • Insert the microSD card into a Ring Alarm Pro Base Station to enable Ring Edge features. It provides local video storage and processing for select Ring cameras and doorbells, with support up to 64GB.

Thanks OP. Code worked. Also had a PROTECTPLAN code but that was pre-filled for me. If you have a paid Ring plan it appears you get 10% off with that code. Doesn't stack with the other promo mentioned earlier.

Works like any microsd in any device or is this for Ring specific devices? Thx
Any device.

I have used these for a decade+ for my dash cam. Here it can be 140+ in direct light... add the cars closed interior, recipe for disaster. Cold weather also, sub zero one winter and others push teens to 20s at nite.

Have not had any issues. Only replacement was when it was stolen from cam. Not an everyday item SD, made for extreme weather.

I bought 3 generic microsd's from amazon 2 already failed after 5 months (one is completely dead and the other is locked so you can't rewrite anything on there). I bought 2 of these for about 28 each which i'm about to cancel now, so this is a good find!. Thanks OP!.

In for 3. High endurance cards are so expensive these days so this seems like a great deal! Hope they work for a dash cam!

I have 256GB Samsung Endurance cards in my LaView cameras. They can hold a little over 90 days of 24/7 audio and video recording, even longer if I only saved motion detection events.

A 64GB card could save a little over 3 weeks of 24/7 recordings, which is still very good. I opted for the 256 because it was way before the demand for NAND.
