This makes really good spring and early summer fertilizer for most turfgrass and i load up this time of year and store till next spring. It has Phosphorus in it that most other regular lawn fertilizers don't have in it because of algae bloom issues it causes in freshwater lakes and streams. Starter fertilizer does have phosphorus in it for root development so this is a really good starter fertilizer. I use it on my St. Augustine in the late spring because the phosphorus helps in the of the runners (stolons) spreading and filling in bare spots same results with with other warm season grasses like Bermuda, centipede, zoysia, etc.. The Winterizer variation is mostly marketing from Scott's with minor changes to regular turf builder but not a discernable difference, your grass will know unless it can read the label.

Lesco, is a really good product but it should be noted that the big box store lesco is not the same as the Lesco products sold commercially for landscape contractors and golf courses. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad product but home owner lineup does differ from commercial products you buy at places like siteone. I've worked in golf course and turf management for years and have no issues with the scott's for the higher end consumer fertilizer it is. I even load up on this for my properties because it is fine to use in the spring too or a starter fertilizer for overseeding and reseeding. Been more than happy with the results.

The price at the top literally says "$18 $70(crossed out) 74% Off"

I see it too so now two people are hallucinating.

Its 39% off either size bag on amazon site. The post is using the exaggerated price of the big bag as a high end, and the sale price of the smaller bag, creating a misleading headline. Its not intentionally done by OP. It happens when attempting to combine multiple sale items into a single post

So should I put one application of this before the winter season (late fall) too?
