For anyone comparing today's $99 deal with the $130 deal from 9/27, please note that while both models share the exact same outer chassis/shell design, they are significantly different inside.
Here is a quick breakdown of the trade-offs:
1. $99 Model (192Wh / 300W) — Dual USB-C Version
* Battery Capacity: 192Wh (Cost: ~$0.52 / Wh)
* AC Output: 300W
* Ports (8 total): 2x USB-C + 1x USB-A
* Charging: Standard DC input / MPPT
* Pros: Cheaper upfront price ($99), native Dual USB-C ports for modern devices/laptops.
* Cons: 33% less capacity, lower AC wattage.
2. $130 Model (288Wh / 350W) — Single USB-C Version
* Battery Capacity: 288Wh (Cost: ~$0.45 / Wh — Better value per Wh!)
* AC Output: 350W (600W Peak)
* Ports (7 total): 1x USB-C + 2x USB-A
* Charging: Built-in AC fast charging (full charge in ~2.1 hrs via standard power cord) + DC input.
* Pros: 50% more battery capacity (+96Wh), higher AC peak power, faster & easier wall charging (no external power brick required).
* Cons: Only 1x USB-C port, $31 higher price point.
Bottom Line / Recommendation:
* Get the $99 model ($99): If your primary goal is keeping costs under $100 and you specifically need 2x USB-C ports for light camping/tech charging without extra wall adapters.
* Get the $130 model ($130): If you need actual power outage/emergency backup. The extra $31 gets you 50% more capacity (+96Wh), faster AC wall charging (2.1h), and higher surge capacity, making it a better overall value per Watt-hour.
Community Reviews
This compact 192Wh, 300W power station is best for small electronics, lighting, cameras, routers, and a 12V portable fridge. It charges in about 2 to 2.2 hours on AC, and the dual USB C ports are a useful touch for laptop and phone charging. The limited 300W output rules out motors and heating elements, and some reports describe dead units or failures after a few months. A practical low cost backup for light-duty use.
Common Questions (4)
It charges in about 2.2 hours on AC, with one estimate putting it at roughly 2 hours even after accounting for about 20% power loss. That makes it a fairly quick top-up for a 192Wh unit, though still slower than some newer fast-charging brands.
It is suited for small electronics like laptops, phones, routers, modems, LED lights, and security cameras. It is limited by its 300W output and is not a good fit for motors or heating elements.
One 100W version reportedly held a full charge after being stored in a closet for almost 3 months, which is a strong sign for shelf storage. A separate report says a unit died after about three months, so durability may vary.
Yes, it can run a 12V portable fridge through the cigarette plug for about 7 hours, with roughly 30% battery still remaining afterward. That suggests it works well for moderate 12V loads within its 300W limit.
