I'd buy one of these right now if it were wi-fi. I'm not always in the same room as my packing station, I'd like to have the label waiting for me, and the laser printers aren't great at feeding half-sheet labels.

And this when you can get a fricking wi-fi toaster.

Looks roll size is limited to fitting inside the machine? I get the big rolls from UPS for free so need something that passes through, not limited to what fits inside =\

LCD looks like more of a gimmick than anything else. For christ sakes you can see the label spitting out of the printer. Who cares if the LCD says the label is 80 complete but your lying eyes is saying to your brain it's 75% complete.

The Avery 8126 labels are good for this, two labels per sheet. After you print one, leave the backing paper intact to rerun the second label through the printer if just printing one at a time.

OR...I could buy 12 reams of paper, and print 4-6000 labels on my home printer, for the same price. Even with the ink and tape costs are built in.

Yeah, most people would be better served getting a Brother wireless black and white laser printer. Way more versatile and high yield generic toner can be had for super cheap.

If there is a shipping label printer around $20 bucks or less I would consider it for the convenience but this is too high for me. Paper and tape is much cheaper.

I calculated for three approaches:
  1. Copy paper. 0.025 - 0.05 per label, including the packing tape to cover it.
  2. Self-adhesive label paper. 0.05 per label, generic.
  3. This thing. 0.08 per label, generic.
I ship a lot, only 1 and 3 make sense to me unless 2 has a dedicated printer. Swapping paper and configuring label presets is annoying.

Can you please provide details about these free rolls?
