most if not all of the cheap third-party ones are wireless so you have to deal with separate charging, Bluetooth, and annoying power-saving measures

I've had the cheaper Bluetooth ones and I currently have a Magic Keyboard for my m1 air is a huge upgrade over the Bluetooth ones. That said I wouldn't pay $250 for one, I got mine used for $50 though and it's totally worth it for that. I'd probably pay $100 for one any more than that does get difficult to justify though.

*surprisingly, the Apple Magic Keyboard Folio for the iPad 10th gen does NOT have backlit keys.

That's an important difference:Apple's more expensive Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro/Air has backlit keys, but the Magic Keyboard Folio designed for the iPad 10th gen/A16 does not.
At $150 vs. $110, that makes me favor the Logitech Combo Touch even more strongly between those two premium choices.

The Magic Keyboard for my 2015 1st-gen pro is still going strong and is a pleasure to type on. I'm not the most accurate typist and have zero issues with it. Hopefully the newer ones are equally as good a durable.

Why? Well, it came with it lol. Why use it? It's hot af here in the summer so I use the iPad for media consumption and Internet stuff - it's still good for that. In the winter I use my Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop, since it keeps me warm!
