Moza's R5 bundle is a PC only direct drive setup that stands out as a strong budget friendly step up from Logitech and belt driven wheels. The 5.5Nm base is described as plenty for a first direct drive rig, with noticeably better torque and feel, and the bundle is praised as a big upgrade over the G29. The software is powerful but configuration heavy, and native support is missing in some games. The SRP Lite brake pedal is very soft, so a brake kit or cockpit mount helps round it out.

  • The R5 bundle is described as a better option than Logitech beginner wheels, with direct drive at this price standing out.

  • Direct drive is described as a noticeable improvement over belt-driven setups, with enough torque to start racing.

  • The Moza ecosystem is described as supporting Xbox compatibility through an Xbox-licensed rim that can be swapped later.

  • The bundle can serve as a strong first PC direct-drive setup because 5.5Nm is described as plenty for beginners.

  • The Moza software is described as configuration-heavy, which can make setup and tuning more involved than expected.

  • Native compatibility can be limited for some games, which may require extra effort to get working.

  • The SRP lite brake pedal is described as very soft, and adding a brake kit is recommended to improve braking feel.

  • The bundle is sold as PC-only, with no PlayStation path available unless an Xbox-licensed rim is swapped later.

Not rebadged at all from what I understand. Plenty of info out there on the internet if you search for it. Seems like a REALLY solid budget friendly option for people on PC only

Not a rebrand of anyone. They are a legit company, Moza Racing, https://us.mozaracing.com/products/r5-pro-bundle and it's not just for PC they also have an Xbox wheel https://us.mozaracing.com/product...4161&_ss=c You can put that on any of their servos and it makes it Xbox compatible.

Well, I didn't expect to see a direct drive wheel that wasn't thrustmaster at this price. This is way better than the Logitech wheels.

Moza is a legit brand. It's a mid-range company, but some of their higher end wheels have been used by real world pro drivers.

I bought an R3 over the summer. Huge upgrade over the G29. Been very happy with it.

I do recommend the brake kit add on though. The SRP lite brake pedal is VERY soft.

I have this gaming wheel and it's definitely the nicest I've ever owned. I'm HORRIBLE at using these things for racing, though. That said, the MOZA software is pretty intense and has a lot of configuration options, trimming, etc. My only disappointment (outside of me sucking at playing games with it) is its lack of native compatibility with some of the games I play.

Rebadged? Moza is legit and a quick google search would tell you that

I have this and fully recommend. Find a cheap cockpit to attach to if you have the space and you cannot go back to racing with a controller. Direct drive is a noticeable improvement from belt driven. Plenty of torque to start with

These used to go for $500, I think.

Anyway, I don't have one, but when I was semi into sim racing, this is what I would've gotten — much better than the Logitech beginner wheel.

To be clear for anyone skimming, this bundle as sold is PC only. Moza makes a separate Xbox licensed rim you can swap on later, but there is no PlayStation path at all. For a first direct drive setup on PC, 5.5nm is plenty.

Just curious whether this could be used to teach someone to drive. I wasn't sure if a program or game like a driving simulator existed.
