Thank you! Based on the regular price of these books (which is $14.99 for the ebook, and many of the other ones in the series cost more), I thought it was a great deal. You never know if anyone else will care, lol.

Solid book, many would benefit from reading through it. Got the paperback version so I could write in it… you can search and find this as a free downloadable pdf version on a few websites out there if you're not sure about giving $1 to a major tech corporation

Finished the entire workbook, still can't pull off a convincing British accent. Very disappointed.

how could I suggest this book to someone who might benefit from it without getting attacked? she would likely take it as an insult or criticism. Very sensitive to and triggered by anything that might seem like criticism. would audiobook be as helpful, because people seem to wanna write in the book?

The printed book is probably better.
No matter what, suggesting this book will be taken as an attack.
If somebody came to you and asked for help with dealing with emotions, then this book would be useful. Otherwise, don't even bother. Seriously.

As for quality, DBT is, I think, useful for some people. I think it has some stupid bits, but that's not a reason to throw it out.

I plan to copy and paste text from the ebook into Word docs if I want to do any of the worksheets. Unless the audio version comes with a pdf of worksheets, it would probably be a little more trouble, as you'd need to jot notes from what is asked.

As to recommending it to someone, I would probably only do it if they had talked before about wanting to read self-help books or considering therapy. And then carefully pick your moment to bring it up. Maybe even say it looks interesting and you're considering it, too, and say that's why you're mentioning it.

I'm more interested in the version of this on CBT, but this was such a great deal and I still may find useful things in it, so I went ahead and got it. You wouldn't necessarily need to be interested in DBT to tell her you thought this sounded useful to you and that's why you were mentioning it to her.
