They're essentially the same thing. Any accessory that mounts on a rail will mount to either. M-rail is typically stronger and preferred for optics that could come out of zero. M-lok is more of a brand than a difference, but it's lighter weight and preferred for forward accessories. M-rail isn't comfortable on the hands.
