Iron Oxide in XXL - 4XL is the only men's color and size available for the discounted price.

Raisin is available in 1X - 4X for women's bag

Edit: I ordered the women's bag and will return my 30L I purchased in August. There are features about the 40L I prefer. Also, REI has a full year to return in case it doesn't work out.

Thanks, OP!

very good deal on a well made pack. As long as you are ok with the colors. This is similar to Osprey 40 liter pack. It has lots of features and padded hip belt....I do not own one, but I tried one on in the store about 6 months ago.

Well made bag, spacious main compartment. I found it more comfortable than my older version Osprey Farpoint 40. It's too bad the discount only applies to the XXL.

That's exactly what some people do. The difference is in the straps to accommodate torso length. Probably best to try it out in stores if you have one nearby to get a feel for what fits you best. One of my favorite backpacks as I have the older version in forest green, though I don't get to take it out much when on a plane due to size restrictions.

Ignore what the other guys tells you, wearing one or the other, no one will be able to tell if you're wearing a men's or women's backpack.

You will feel it yourself though. Go ahead, if you're a man with wide back and shoulders, try on both. You will immediately feel a difference in strap positioning and feel. If you are very skinny with little muscle, maybe it won't make much difference. Everyone's body is different, so definitely worth trying on if you have a local store.

Really good deal, was $78 for the men's 40L version 2 months ago. Will reorder and return the previous one for a "price adjustment." The hip belt is oversized but can be adjusted to fit (yeah there's extra dangle but tolerable), well made pack, I have an older version that has served well since the pandemic, traveling and checked in internationally. I think what stands this one apart from other comparable bags is the weight under 3 lbs, as most are close to 4 lbs, has an internal frame which provides good support. And I've taken out the rain cover to drop more weight and to use the compartment as an extra pocket.

Can the hip belt be modified for a 34 inch waist? Wish this was available in the standard size. I'm 6'1 about 180

I'm about a 36, it's almost maximally tightened, and it fits (has a little bit to be further tightened). Like I mentioned, there will be some strap dangle and you will get a very well cushioned belt! Meaning the thick part will likely cover your entire waist.

Lol, thanks. Wondering if I could just cut the excess strap. Do you have any issues with the shoulder straps being too far apart and slipping? My chest is 42". If you're a 36 I'm assuming you're about the same.

Regarding the straps, no I find it very comfortable, and I usually wear a size 42-44 sportcoat.
