The last time I ordered a band from woot, just last month, it was shipped in an envelope and arrived crushed. I will never accept items damaged because of improper shipping so they replaced it for me.

As to the color, yes, it's definitely dark navy. Indoors you can't really tell. But outdoors in sunlight it is noticeably blue. I don't mind, but someone who really wants black, don't get this.
I still love mine. So light and so comfortable. I don't understand why Apple discontinued this.
