This folding AOVOPRO scooter stands out as a budget commuter with a smooth ride on sidewalks and pavement, decent app-based tuning, and enough speed for short trips. It has handled daily commuting, flat roads around 20 mph, and even steep hills at reduced speed, with battery use suggesting roughly 20 miles for lighter riders. The main concerns are inconsistent front wheel vibration, loose bolts, and weaker brakes or hill performance than pricier Hiboy models. A practical low-cost ride if the unit arrives well sorted.

Common Questions (5)

  • Some units arrive with a severe front-wheel vibration that can make the scooter almost unusable, while others ride fine. The issue is often described as an out-of-round front drive wheel, so it's worth checking the wheel immediately after delivery and returning or replacing it if the vibration is bad.

  • It can handle mild hills, but it slows noticeably on steeper grades, especially with heavier riders. Reported results range from about 12 km/h on a 15-degree hill at 200 lb to around 5 mph on very steep inclines, and increasing torque in the app can help a bit.

  • Yes. The Tuya/AOVOPRO app or the 365 Scooter app can adjust performance settings such as driving torque and brake sensitivity, and raising those settings can improve hill climbing and braking response.

  • Flat-ground speed is commonly reported around 20 mph, with some units reaching the mid-30s and others topping out closer to 15-18 mph. Range can be around 20 miles for lighter riders, and one over-200 lb rider used about 35% battery on 4.6-5.6 mile round trips.

  • Yes. The scooter can loosen bolts from vibration, including the handlebar screws, so it's smart to check every fastener and use threadlocker if needed before riding.

Got this last time. Great deal for what it is.I end up selling it at cost. As I already have a Hiboy KS4 pro.Comparing the two. This one
  • Overall quality feel is lower but fine.
  • Speed of pick up is not as good. And overall power feel.
  • Break is not as much stopping power
  • The ride on this is SO MUCH smoother on sidewalk.
The. Again th Hiboy cost me 400+ 2 years ago

Is this good for a man 5'4 204lbs?? I'm tempted for work purposes to and from work uber is costly these days lol
Won't take you up any incline. I bought one for myself last Spring, ended up giving it to my kids and getting a 750W for myself. The 750W still isn't powerful enough for moderately steep inclines.

I received this scooter about two or three weeks ago, shipped from a warehouse in New Jersey. I do not believe this scooter has the advertised 500W motor.

There is no AOVOPRO logo anywhere on the scooter, and the performance is nowhere near what I would expect from a 500W model. It struggles badly on hills, reaches only about 15 mph on flat roads, and the highest speed I have seen is 18 mph.

I weigh only 160 lbs and primarily use the scooter for commuting in NYC, so rider weight should not be causing this level of performance.

I also own an AOVOPRO ESMax with an actual 500W motor, and the difference is significant. My ESMax easily outperforms this scooter in acceleration, hill climbing, and top speed.

This e-scooter is much more powerful, but it cost 2.5x as much.

Get AOVOPRO app & maximize settings & it should go better.

Using the 365 Scooter app, can change the sensitivity of the breaking from default of 7 to very sensitive braking of 10.

I got it also from a post in the past month and it has the logo and goes 34 top speed on flat and when it gets near 40 it gets insanely sketchy on hills. I weigh 190
