This folding AOVOPRO scooter stands out as a budget commuter with a smooth ride on sidewalks and pavement, decent app-based tuning, and enough speed for short trips. It has handled daily commuting, flat roads around 20 mph, and even steep hills at reduced speed, with battery use suggesting roughly 20 miles for lighter riders. The main concerns are inconsistent front wheel vibration, loose bolts, and weaker brakes or hill performance than pricier Hiboy models. A practical low-cost ride if the unit arrives well sorted.

  • The Tuya app can be used to change settings and improve hill climbing.

  • The scooter can still be useful for commuting on moderate distances.

  • The scooter can slow down on steep grades but may still move faster than walking.

  • The scooter can feel smoother on sidewalks than comparable Hiboy models.

  • The scooter can reach around 20 mph on flat roads in real-world use.

  • The front drive wheel can produce heavy or crazy vibration that makes riding nearly unusable.

  • Performance can fall short of advertised 500W expectations, especially on hills.

  • Returns can be problematic, including reports of mismatched tracking numbers or a fake FedEx return label.

  • Bolts can loosen from vibrations, including handlebar screws that may come out after a week.

I got one on the last deal too. It is sold by the Aovopro store but it is actually Aovowheels, Y02 model. I also had the crazy vibration issue and had to return it. Some folks said they did not get a vibration, so seems like it's a gamble. I got the ESMAX instead, it is a lot better and worth the price IMO. That one is Aovopro.

I got one of these on an earlier deal. Buyer beware. For the most part it was ok except the front wheel vibrated so much it hurt my eyes. Dangerous at best. Attempted a return - they approved it and provided a fake Fedex return label so the scooter is somewhere other than in my possession and they have my money. You might get lucky and get a good one like some others. I didn't.

Fun toy, easy short commutes. Rode to the library (4.6 miles round-trip) and grocery store (5.6 miles round trip). I am over 200lbs and it did get stuck on one steep incline. I downloaded the app, went into the manual performance settings, and set driving torque to max. Seems to have helped with climbing hills. On the steepest one I drop down to 5mph but only for a minute. Less steep inclindes I drop down to 10-11 mph. On flat it easily goes 20mph. Haven't tested max range yet. But those two trips used about 35% of the battery, so I can believe close to 20 miles, maybe not quite that much for me, LOL. If you are lighter than me, easily 20 and performance should be even better.

Bought this last time. It's more disposable junk. Power button doesn't work anymore making this a very heavy push scooter. Fighting with the company to fix it. Lasted all of 6 months.

Got this last time. Great deal for what it is.
I end up selling it at cost. As I already have a Hiboy KS4 pro.

Comparing the two. This one
  • Overall quality feel is lower but fine.
  • Speed of pick up is not as good. And overall power feel.
  • Break is not as much stopping power
  • The ride on this is SO MUCH smoother on sidewalk.
The. Again th Hiboy cost me 400+ 2 years ago
Just to be clear,
I have this for a few days and went about 3 or 4 miles to test before selling it. guess I"m one of the lucky one. I don't recall any problem with the front vibrating like some of you mentioned.

One of the big factor for selling it is I don't know how long the battery will last and how safe it is with these cheap chinese no name brand (even though it is the same as the aovopro esmax, it could have the same design but bad battery or other parts inside).
I don't want my garage going on fire charging the battery. but to be fair I have not seen anyone on this tread mention about fire.
