Why? Because it's chicken broth?

Yery good but times have changed when Amazon is gives such a small savings. Ramen flavors rotated but this is no real discount.

Anyone try Maruchan's new line of ramen, "Saucy Noods" (yeah, real dumb name)? Saw it on a reddit ad and got it on sale at Safeway for .79. Got to say, I'm undecided on the flavor packet. It is good spicy, no soup but it's pan-cooked on the stove top with a dry mix packet but I like the chewier noodles (similar to Nongshim's). Comes in spicy chicken and creamy spicy chicken.

Is Gold just the chicken broth version of the Black?

I tried Black for the first time recently and really liked it. So, I'll try this one.

im curious of what makes Gold different as well.

I recently just tried the black, and while I liked it, i prefer the original. The original is hotter and not as mellow.

Broth:
• Shin Gold: Features a clear, savory chicken broth. It tastes warmer, lighter, and slightly sharper with a golden hue.
• Shin Black: Features a milky, thick seolleongtang (ox bone) and beef soup base. It tastes deeper, smoother, and much creamier.

Ingredients and Spice
• Shin Gold: Includes thinner noodles and toppings like dried scrambled eggs and peas. It offers a clean, comforting spice level.
• Shin Black: Includes an extra seasoning packet for the bone broth, larger vegetable flakes, and sometimes pieces of dehydrated beef. It is generally less spicy than the original red-packet Shin Ramyun, focusing more on savory depth.
