This barebones AM02 stands out as a low entry price for a Ryzen 7 H255 mini PC with Radeon 780M graphics, especially for anyone already sitting on RAM and an SSD. The chassis is quiet, boots fast, and can handle light to moderate gaming well, with BIOS updates and driver support available from Firebat. The main drawbacks are warm memory under load and the lack of OCuLink or USB4, so expansion headroom is limited. It is a practical pick if you want 780M performance without paying for a full prebuilt.
Windows installers comfortable setting up drivers manually, because a fresh install may need Firebat Wi‑Fi or Ethernet drivers before everything is populated.
Gamers who already have DDR5 SO-DIMMs and an SSD, because the barebones price only makes sense when you can supply the missing parts.
Tinkerers who want a compact 780M mini PC, because it boots fast, runs quietly, and can be expanded with an M.2-to-OCuLink adapter.
Light-to-moderate PC gamers who want a quiet 780M system, because it can deliver strong gaming performance while staying very quiet.
Heavy-game players who need eGPU headroom, because the system lacks native OCuLink or USB4 and only offers awkward M.2-based expansion.
Builders who want plug-and-play performance tuning, because RAM temperatures can climb into the 60s and the BIOS may not fix weak benchmark results or sleep issues.
Shoppers comparing barebones against a full prebuilt, because current RAM and SSD pricing can erase the savings.
Users expecting trouble-free Windows sleep behavior, because the machine can wake immediately after entering sleep in Windows 10.

OK... the only driver I needed was the Wireless Lan driver (I believe it is part of 5 and 6). I also used RUFUS to install my OS.
The motherboard was already registered with Windows Home 11.
- 1. I installed the Windows 11 home OS using a thumb drive which RUFUS created.
- 2. I then installed the wireless Lan driver and hooked up to my wifi
- 3. I had a extra product key for windows 11 pro so I upgraded to that OS.
- 4. I updated windows many times
- 5. I downloaded and ran AMD Driver installer
I then check out my driver list (device manager) and everything seems to be populated correctly. (there may be a chance that I may need to uninstall the bluetooth driver and install the one from firebat's website... but I have not tested the bluetooth yet).I have yet to adjust the RAM going to the GPU or run any benchmarks as of yet. But I may if anyone wants to see numbers.
Overall, I am VERY HAPPY... it is VERY SNAPPY so far and takes less then 10 seconds to fully boot up.
p.s. I have not played any games yet. Just finished with the final set up all updates.

Here [3dmark.com] is the comparison between my AM02 and another guy running the same exact setup, only with 32gb ram and win11 - would be great if you could add a 3rd data point and install/run this as well.

Don't know how to make a link, but here they are....
Night Raid Score
29586
Graphics score 35260
CPU score 15475
So why is mine higher then yours....
- I have 32GB of RAM and allocated 12GB in the bios to act a VRAM.
- I have a P41 M.2 (FAST) and runs cool.
- Super CLEAN OS... steam and 3dmark is like the third piece of software that I installed.
That is all I can think of. What make and model is your SSD? and how much RAM did you allocate to VRAM? How much RAM do you have? Also, I verified with a older firebat system (not this model but it shares this models drivers and also has a 780m) that the power supply is limited to like 45watts... unlike others that offer FULL wattage that the CPU can handle (I think that is 54 watts), this model dials it back just a bit to keep the chassis cooler... this is my theory but I can be completely wrong. The savings IMHO is worth it when you may only lose a few frames per second when playing a game.

BUT my numbers are pretty damn good. I wonder if I allocate more RAM to VRAM if the test would change. Lastly, perhaps the numbers would not be so high if Blueshark used the same version test as you. SystemInfo Version 5.92 VS 5.93.
PER AI... The Difference: If your system is locked at a standard 35W or 45W power cap, but another user has toggled their BIOS to a 54W or 65W "Performance" or "Turbo" mode, their CPU and GPU will sustain higher boost clocks throughout the test, safely explaining the variance of higher numbers.
I think our system may be locked at 54W when technically, the CPU can handle 65W. That is probably the difference. But it means our motherboard and system is less likely to break due to overheating issues. The bios does offer PERFORMANCE MODE (54W) but does not offer TURBO MODE (usually 65W).
Did you run the AMD driver installer software? I repeat... the ONLY driver I used from firebat was the Wireless Lan driver... from there Windows 11 Pro and AMD installer software populated all other drivers.
Still think you should go to Windows 11. just use RUFUS to create the USB install drive.
And clearly with the higher scores, perhaps Windows 11 runs things faster.
-changing the vram allocation to 8gb in bios (default was 6gb)
-changing the power limit
-installing win11
-accessing hidden bios settings (alt+f5) and tweaking APU power limits
All to no avail. So it does point to some kind of power issue. At this point have probably spent 16 hours trying to figure this out... going to send it back and order a Minisforum UM870 Slim which is essentially identical. Hopefully their quality control is better
