This seems to have a really good collection of sockets. Does anyone have any experience with this? It says limited warranty as well.
I'm trying to look into buying a good mechanical tool set to get started but I'm not sure if this one is worth, just for your typical DIY so it will seldom be used but it's nice keep at the house.

If warranty is a concern the Kobalt 302 piece is similar for $99 and has a life time warranty you can exhcnage it at any Lowes.

I could see the warranty would be a disaster unless it's like Tecktons.

The warranty link from the walmart listing is https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/24893ec1-4563-41fa-9efb-42ba1d0d5e98.f417a4c35f49d4ecd5c479905aa827... [walmartimages.com] which just shows "image coming soon" when I click it.

Without warranty being a factor, which set is worth getting just based on what's included? This 262 pc set from Hyper Tough or the 302 set from Kobalt? I'm just a guy who does things around the house etc.

I would go with the Kobalt it has a warranty, the case is molded and for work around the house like assembling furniture, odd and ends the Allen wrenches and multiple bits for different types of hex, etc it might prove to be more useful besides it is also is both metric and standard.

The Kobalt 302 set weighs 27 pounds.

The Hyper Tough weighs 58 pounds.

So which set do you think has the most filler bits ?

I got three of these delivered today. Giving one to each kid to keep in their car in case they ever have roadside emergencies, etc. And it's actually a very well-rounded kit.

I'm a retired professional mechanic, and there's enough tools in there to do nearly anything you do in a roadside or a pick and pull yard.

For 100 bucks, this is an amazing set.

I started my professional career with basically the craftsman version of this set 25 years ago and it's still serving me.

All the tools look very well made. I've got no complaints. Nice blow moulded case so you know if you're missing anything. Everything's very organized. This is a steal at 100.
