Great device for PSP emulation in particular. I find myself using this more than many of my more expensive gaming handhelds, just because it's lightweight and cheap enough I don't worry about traveling with it. You can tell the team who designed this thing have experience in the field, because it's an excellent first handheld for Mangmi.

Negatives:
  • Gamecube and PS2 emulation is a little too much for this handheld. You can get a few games to run in the Gamecube library, but I don't consider if a good experience.
  • No video out - The Snapdragon 662 doesn't support it. I think this is it's greatest weakness, as even my $40 RG35xx Pro has mini HDMI out.
  • Fan is audible and a little annoying when playing intensive games. Not terrible, but notable once it warms up.
  • Battery life is so-so. I'll sometimes get a solid 5 hours, sometimes under 3 hours. PSP with high upscaling in particular drains battery faster than expected.
Positives:
  • The sticks, triggers and face buttons all feel much better than you'd expect from a device under $100.
  • The screen, while not OLED, is very nice. Not oversaturated or oversharpened. No real ghosting issues.
  • Performance with PSP is 2-3x upscaling, depending on the game.
  • N64 seems best around 2x for demanding games (Goldeneye) but ranges up to 4x for light games.
  • Dreamcast generally works at 2x, but demanding titles may need 1x. (Shenmue)
  • Playstation is very stable at 5x with Duckstation.

To add onto this, bc it has a modern 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, it's great for local game streaming from a PC, Xbox, or PlayStation.
