I also strongly recommend Prey (2017, by Arkane Studios who also made the Dishonored series) and the Deus Ex series (2000-2016, by Ion Storm and then Eidos Montreal). (All are on sale at GOG.com right now.)

Not all the freebies are worth much attention. This one is.
It could be so that they can piecemeal these posts out and meet the staff's internal posting requisites.

I also strongly recommend Prey (2017, by Arkane Studios who also made the Dishonored series) and the Deus Ex series (2000-2016, by Ion Storm and then Eidos Montreal). (All are on sale at GOG.com right now.)
I remember the first time I played the demo back in 99. Scared the crap out of me. To this day, it creates a morbid, dreadful atmosphere that really sticks with me.
Someone mentioned the Bioshock games as spiritual successors, but it's sometimes forgotten Irrational Games who went on to develop the Bioshock games, were the codevelopers of System Shock 2, not just Looking Glass. Ken Levine, the lead designer, was a founder of Irrational, and went onto being the lead designer of all three Bremastered.
It's a shame the studio closed. At least Nightdive did a great job with this remaster, and thr System Dhock Remake.
