This Tughlax 2 pack is a budget rechargeable flashlight set that stands out for its sturdy feel, USB C charging, LCD battery percentage display, and compact but long body that is easy to keep handy. The lights use included 18650 rechargeable batteries, and the larger double battery design may help runtime more than brightness. The main tradeoff is performance, since the beam is only slightly brighter than the smaller single battery version and the battery setup and listing details have been confusing. It is a practical basic light if you want simple utility over big lumen claims.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. The flashlights use included 18650 rechargeable batteries, with each light using two cells in a connected pack. The listing text has conflicting battery info, but the actual units are reported to ship with batteries installed.

  • It is only slightly brighter than the smaller single-cell Tughlax, not 2x brighter. The larger double-battery design may help runtime more than output, so it is better as a bigger basic light than a major brightness upgrade.

  • Yes, it charges over USB-C and can run while the cable is attached. One reported issue is that a unit showed 100% charge but would not turn on after unplugging, so the battery pack or internal connection may need checking if that happens.

  • The $17.99 two-pack price is reached by applying the coupon at checkout. Without the coupon, the Amazon price can show closer to $35 for the same 2-pack.

  • It measures about 1.65 inches deep, 0.98 inches wide, and 9.37 inches tall. Another measurement puts it at just over 9 inches long, or about 10 inches with the lens extended.

These were FP not long ago, was hoping someone would share their experience. If anyone actually did buy one.
Picked up the 2 pack the last sale around July. That seen just fine. Came with batteries. I keep one close to the bed. And the other is in the middle of a project to create a light signal like the bat signal as a gag gift for a CO worker

Thank you very much for your thoughtful post. Much Respect

I have their smaller single battery lights, no issues. I don't see why this wouldn't be around 2x brighter than the single celled ones. It's a $10 light, I don't expect it to equal a $50+ light, but I definitely expect it to be twice as big or twice as bright as their single cell offers. I'll report back after I test it.

I've only found it slightly brighter, certainly not 2X.

If its only slightly then its not worth it over the single cell.

this is what they sell for at T*mu but worth the price.. this is just a different "version". The nice thing is they ARE big.. police office size but the nice thing is you can take off the battery should they ever die out.

The double cell should provide a longer run time if you have frequent power outages. Also the longer flashlight might be an advantage if you get involved in a gang fight.

lol why did they connect the two batteries together, my one cell exceeds double the capacity of these two cells combined... While I like that its narrow, I wish they had made it fit a 21700 cell because I have a lot of those too... I bought 4, i tried to cancel when someone said its not twice as bright, but it was too late to cancel and they still arrived, and i like them, so i'll keep them, i don't think you can find a better $10 at this size and brightness. Like I said I bought several packs of their single cell version and haven't had any issues.

You wrote a VERY long comment which contains absolutely NOTHING THAT IS ACCURATE!!!

1) These flashlights DO NOT use any Alkaline batteries
2) These flashlights DO NOT use 4 AAA batteries >> SERIOUSLY!!!
(they use 2 18650 rechargeable batteries which are installed and included!!!)

HOW is it acceptable to post a TOTALLY ERRONEOUS review on a deal website when the information is EVERYWHERE??? WOW!!!

As you claim to be a "flashlight collector" you are certainly in the DARK with all your information about these items!!!

These are really decent flashlights for the money and the commenter above needs to delete his post...

His review is the only thing that is TOTALLY GARBAGE. STRAIGHT UP!!!

(Even stranger is that somehow his post has several "thumbs-up"s???)

Great that your a flashlight enthusiast and you mentioned a flashlight brand (fenix) that sells for $100+...but let not be so harsh on this $9 (2 for 17.99) flashlight. For the majority of us I normal people this "garbage" of a flashlight will work absolutely just fine, i assure you of that.

The batteries are connected in parallel ++ - - , at least don't have worry about reverse charge when connected in series + - + - with unprotected cells.
Wonder if this flashlight has low voltage cut off?
If the battery pack die where to buy a replacement pack or have to build one yourself.
