This Tughlax 2 pack is a budget rechargeable flashlight set that stands out for its sturdy feel, USB C charging, LCD battery percentage display, and compact but long body that is easy to keep handy. The lights use included 18650 rechargeable batteries, and the larger double battery design may help runtime more than brightness. The main tradeoff is performance, since the beam is only slightly brighter than the smaller single battery version and the battery setup and listing details have been confusing. It is a practical basic light if you want simple utility over big lumen claims.

  • The flashlights can be charged via USB-C and show charging percent on the LCD.

  • The flashlights use 18650 batteries and support multiple sets purchase.

  • The larger model is physically substantial and can allow battery removal if cells die.

  • The deal price of two flashlights for $18 is achievable when applying the coupon.

  • The double-battery model may be only slightly brighter than the single-battery version rather than twice as bright.

  • The battery information and lumen claims appear inconsistent across listings, which can make specs feel misleading.

  • Some units stop charging after a few months due to loose or damaged USB-C ports.

  • The flashlight may fail to turn on after disconnecting the charging cable even at 100% charge.

I bought the single pack back in July, highly recommend it. Sturdy, not a plastic piece of shiit like some of the others. Charges over USB-C. Only downside is the stupid high-medium-low-strobe-SOS cycle that it seems every goddamn flashlight has nowadays.

lol I really feel like everything connected to this light screams scam.Let me break it down. First of all this does not include batteries, the most expensive part of the whole thing. It only says that once in small black text. The way they show the product makes you think it comes with a batteries already installed and you can plug it right in. What makes this situation even more suspicious is the features and specs."Features & SpecsAdditional Features Adjustable Focus, Adjustable Light Modes, High Lumens, High PowerPower Source Battery PoweredLight Source Type LEDBattery Type AlkalineNumber of Batteries 4 AAA batteries required. (included) < seriously? Battery Description AlkalineMounting Type HandheldBattery Life 12 hoursLight Source Special Features High Lumens, Adjustable Focus, Adjustable Light Modes, High PowerRuntime 4 hoursNumber of Light Sources 2"How is this acceptable to post this on a deal website when the information is everywhere? This is a freaking disaster of an item. It says 4 AAA batteries and they are even included. Wow. Another thing is the lumens of measurement. I am a flashlight collector Fenix, watching youtubers actually measure the lumens with accurate tools. These tughlax lights were claiming they could do 90k lumens and they took it off their product page when people called them out. Even in the comments people are saying its just a thousand lumens. lol thats not worth using an 18650 js. This is garbage. Straight up.
Fenix dumb...they buy flashlights from china company and then sell you for 3x prices, lol

Silckdeals said two flashlights for $18, 50% off. When I went to Amazon, the two pack was $35. I have often found that Slickdeals offers "click bate" but the Amazon price is not what Slickdeals says it is. Very disappointing. I am going to stop using Slickdeals.

I just did it and got two for $18. You've got to apply the coupon.

Flashlight feels very substantial and well made. LED with charging percent was also nice and the on/off button had good tactile feel. The light also seemed to work perfectly while the charging cable was still attached. The only problem was that even at 100% charged, when the cord was disconnected, that the light does not go on. Click, click, click nothing.

Did you open the flashlight and remove the sticker on the bottom of the battery?

They're fine and a good addition to our flashlight collection. However if you are just starting your flashlight collection, I would suggest you start with the smaller and cheaper 6 in Tughlax (or similar brands) which are closer to $5 apiece. I found that the light output of this larger Tughlax only slightly better than its smaller sibling. Probably not enough to justify the higher price and longer size. On the other hand, the double battery might result in a longer run time in an emergency.
FWIW, batteries in series (described as welded in the middle) do not typically improve run time. Instead, batteries in series improves voltage and thus output. Batteries in parallel improve amperage and thus runtime.

The how come this double battery Tughlax isn't significantly brighter than my single battery Tuglax? I believe both use a 18650 battery.

If you're really into flashlights then by all means look into flashlights, but for some it might be worth it to direct some attentions towards headlamps (that don't suck). For example, the Nitecore NU20 Classic. Yeah, they tend to hit lower lumens, but at the same time many users are probably a bit captivated by high lumens as a marketing gimmick that doesn't actually fit their use cases.

I bought the smaller 3 pack Tughlax flashlights, 2 of them will no longer charge. I've only had them for a few months The USB-C port are loose/damaged
You can just charge the batteries using a 18650 battery charger. They're $3-4 on temu. Or use your 1 good flashlight to charge them.

A better option that includes emergency red flashers and room illumination options and two 26650 rechargeable lithium ion batteries is available on Temu for around $10. For example https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_...0943722072
