About this item:
- The All-New Mighty2: The next generation of Wirecutter's Top Pick air purifier. The Mighty2 (AP-1512N) is highly efficient, designed to purify spaces up to 900 ft² in just 30 minutes, or 1,800 ft² in 60 minutes. (CADR: Dust 242, Smoke 240, Pollen 249)
- IEST-RP-CC007 Standard Certified HEPA: Features an upgraded 3-stage filtration system including a washable pre-filter and a 2-in-1 HEPA & Active Carbon Max2 filter. It effectively reduces up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, pollutants, dust, smoke, pet dander, and other allergens. It also reduces more than 99.5% of volatile organic compounds and fumes such as NH3 and CH3CHO.
- Megascan Laser Sensor: Accurately detects a full spectrum of particles (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) in real-time. The intuitive LED color indicator and precise numerical display let you instantly see your current indoor air quality at a glance.
- All-in-One Smart Mode:Set it to Smart Mode and let the purifier take care of the rest, automatically adjusting airflow speed based on real-time air quality. When the air is clean, Eco-Mode is activated, automatically switching to energy-saving mode. When the room gets dark, the built-in light sensor triggers Sleep Mode for whisper-quiet operation (as low as 19 dB), ensuring undisturbed rest. It runs at maximum of just 56W, consuming 20% less energy than the previous model.
- Precise Filter Life Indicator: Take the guesswork out of maintenance. The advanced digital display shows the exact remaining lifespan (100% down to 0%) for both the washable Pre-filter and Max2 Filter. You will know exactly when it's time to replace the Max2 filter (B0GXC2WN3M) or simply wash the Pre-filter once it hits 0%, ensuring optimal air quality at all times.

RE: Light - you realise there's a dedicated light button on the Mighty2, separate from sleep mode, right?
People complained about the light on the OG Mighty all the time, apparently never bothering to read the manual or even just read & comprehend the text on the button panel (says "(LIGHT 3s)" under the Ionization button).
Community Reviews
Coway's Mighty2 is a compact air purifier aimed at quiet, efficient everyday use, with a new DC motor, a larger filter, and a more modern design. The blue night light is subtle, and the dedicated light control can turn the lights off separately from sleep mode. It has also been praised as effective during wildfire smoke and as a solid long term replacement for aging Winix units. The main caveats are that night mode can shut the fan down more than expected, the light behavior is confusing for some, and replacement filters may cost a bit more.
The Mighty2 includes a dedicated light button that can be controlled separately from sleep mode.
Coway warranty support reportedly ships replacements quickly when the unit shuts off after minutes.
The Mighty2 uses a DC motor that can improve efficiency and reduce noise compared with older designs.
The Mighty2 can run effectively for long periods, with some owners reporting 24/7 medium operation for years.
The purifier can fail quickly, with reports of the unit being dead in less than an hour.
Night mode light behavior can be counterproductive because turning off at night can turn off all lights, including daytime indicators.
The checkout discount may not appear until proceeding to checkout, which can make the final price unclear upfront.
Auto features may have significant flaws, including night operation that turns the fan basically off when it should run.

The C909 seems iike a better buy at $200.
Other thing is these also have a DC motor so they should be about as efficient as they get.

2 also looks more modern / less dated, if you care about that.
This Mighty2 is new this year, with a DC motor, bigger/beefier filter, and a new design. Lowest it's been til now was $200 back in September.

Seems like the Winix is on its way out though after ~6 years, so I figure I'd try one of these with all the bearing whine complaints people have about WInix units after a few years.

If you live in a city - you can find high quality air filters consistently for $50-$70. Highly recommend doing that instead of buying new.
