Snagged one thanks! Missed out on this last year around this time and regretted it since. Have a lot of Greenworks 24V tools thus extra batteries so works out great for me.

Reviews of this from previous SD threads people seemed highly satisfied. I added the stick vac metal filter to get above $100 for free shipping.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I have this and agree it is a great vacuum. I can't remember if I mentioned this on the last thread or not, but just a heads-up: for whatever reason, this only works properly with the "digital" battery that comes with it.

Standard 24V tool batteries will fit and seem to work at first, but the vacuum shuts off after about a minute. I have a lot of tools in the 24V line and was hoping to swap extra packs in, but when I contacted Greenworks support, they confirmed standard tool batteries aren't supported.

What my research found: the bundled "digital" USB-C pack has extra communication pins that talk directly to the handle display to report runtime and stats. The vacuum keeps looking for that data handshake, and when standard tool packs can't provide it, the vacuum treats it as a fault and cuts power.

Would you be able to provide the product link for that filter? I looked, but I'm not sure that the one I'm seeing is the correct one.

Well damn, that's a bummer. From what I'm seeing they're saying anything from the Powerall/G-24 line should work but not the "old" ones?If it still runs for a minute I guess that's still somewhat usable haha.

Tempting. Sounds like overall runtime is the biggest limitation here. On Medium, it's only around 10-15 mins. You'd kill the battery pretty quick on high/turbo

I have the 8Ah and 4Ah batteries and was excited to have an almost infinite runtime, but it would only run for like a minute or two, and then act all weird and shut down. I thought it was bad batteries or a broken vacuum, so I reached out to Greenworks, and that is where I found out about the battery distinction. At this price, if you own one already, it is cheap enough to buy it for the battery alone

I use might with 4AH and 2AH "non-digital" batteries and it works fine. On max power the "digital" one says maybe 9 minutes but the "non-digital" said 8 minutes or something just barely under for the same AH.

Maybe I have newer "non-digital" batteries that do work with it. They are the normal power tool batteries. Not the long skinny one.
