Keep in mind most, if not all, Samsung TV's only allow one smart remote to be paired at a time. You can still use the other remote via IR, but it's not going to act like a smart remote where you can navigate with the remote pointing in any direction.

Pretty sure this is just an IR dumb remote, so you can likely use as many of this style as you want and not affect the OEM one
No voice search function.
"no setup!"

I think you're right. The smart remote we bought as a secondary remote works, but you have to point it deliberately and directly at the TV's lower right corner. If the IR pointer isn't mostly dead on pointing towards the TV, it doesn't work well.

This one exactly this. My kids destroyed the FireTv remote's battery door. I got a similar remote, and it's very slow to respond because iR to TV, the TV sends the command to FTV.

It really needed to be pointed right at the TV like back in the 90s..

They'd rather use the messed up remote.

Got the last deal and they're great. Found my smart remote in the couch that my family lost, but having another remote sitting around has already come in handy a bunch of times. Have a Samsung OLED in the bedroom too, so running the two remote system in both rooms.

You've just solved why i'm happier with my Samsung tv's since i lost my original remote. its impossible to own two Tvs with smart remotes! i would wake up my husband across the house on accident.
