This shower combo is being treated as a low cost upgrade for a nicer shower feel, with the installed unit described as very comfortable and enjoyable to use. The deal code appears to work on matte black and some nickel finishes, while chrome is out of stock or tied to a different seller. The main concerns are that it is mostly plastic, the listing may be more of a handheld wand than a true rainfall head, and the promo behavior is inconsistent across browsers and devices. There are also durability worries about clogging over time and the chance of higher water use if showers run longer.
Common Questions (4)
The code can work on matte black and brushed nickel, while Chrome is out of stock or sold by another seller. Chrome also appears to trigger inconsistent checkout behavior, so switching finishes is the practical fix.
Yes, it is reported to be mostly plastic, which is a concern for durability. That is why some shoppers compare it to higher-priced alternatives like the Kohler Hydrorail or Moen units.
It is described by buyers as a mounted handheld wand rather than a true rainfall head. That matters because the spray style and mounting setup are different from a ceiling-style rainfall shower.
Similar Chinese rain showerheads can develop clogged pinholes after about a year, which can ruin the rain effect, and vinegar soaking may not fix it. Another report says a cheap unit broke after a few months, so long-term durability may be limited.
