Bamboo is a terrible material for cutting boards, it's too hard so it will dull your knives, and it is absorbent so warping is a matter of when, not if.

The strongest part of the claim is that bamboo can dull knives faster than many conventional wood boards.

If you value edge retention, use thin Japanese-style knives, or chop heavily, maple, walnut, beech, or a quality end-grain hardwood board is usually the better primary board.

End-grain construction presents the cut ends of the wood fibers upward—often producing the familiar checkerboard butcher-block look. On a good board, a knife edge can slip between those fibers; the fibers partly close afterward, which is why end grain tends to be both gentler on edges and more resistant to visible knife scoring.

For $7.50 I think it's worth a gamble on the warping. For the dull knife issue I would use a quality knife and have a sharpening stone handy. For me it takes me a few seconds to run a knife up and down a stone on both sides.

These are the worst. I was a meat cutter and some genius bought these back for us to use one time. Absolutely horrible. Plastic is the best.

Nobody wants to eat bits of microplastics in everything they eat. Wood is also more hygienic as natural bacteria living in wood will eat whatever seeps in so you just need soap and water to clean them effectively.
