This looks like a killer price for a 32-foot dynamic strip. For those who already use the GE Cync ecosystem, how is the app stability these days? I've heard mixed reviews about the Wi-Fi connectivity dropping, but at under $20, I'm really tempted to just grab one for the gaming setup

I used these for my tv when my Philips Hue tv light strip was defective. I love them for the price, and it has the nice fade in /out effect like the Hue. I use these strips on Home Assistant but it's hard to configure it to work locally only. You need to figure out DNS redirect on your router and use a Home Assistant app to pretend to be the Cync server. Once it is set up, it works great.

Controlling the light strip via cloud or app wasn't as reliable though.

Can I do anything with this without GE ecosystem? Perhaps with only home assistant?
