You must have gotten a dud!
I actually prefer the sp36 pro over the q8 plus, unless I got a dud on the Q8 plus???

I have this light, bought probably well over 5 years ago. It's kinda cumbersome to me, but, geez, it is bright, I paid just north of $40., so it's a steal here. Repped.

I have this... and it's curious to me. I would say of the 10 to 15 or so lights i bought this is the only one I would not recommend unless you wanted a long lasting light you can set upright for a power outage.

It's too cumbersome to walk around with on your person. The high power is too hot to hold long. And whatever I need lightwise, I have a good enough light already and I am by no means a big collector. I've grabbed deals over the last few years as they pop up here.

Anyway, it's a neat light but if you, like me, are buying it just to see what it's like then pass imo.

I agree. Nice light and i really like the variable brightness function but it has very limited function that most of us flashlight nerds probably already have in other lights. I put the diffuser sock on it and use it upright as a long lasting dimmed night light. Otherwise it's a power outage light or if i can ever find a reason to have to blind someone.

Worked for me. I have a Q8 will be fun to see how much smaller and dimmer it is.

My sofirn 2000 lumens died for no reason after using it less than ten times in seven years or so

I have this exact one. It was great for about a year, then it was not reliable. People said to get new batteries. Got new batteries and it didn't no difference. It lasts like maybe 30-45 minutes where it used to last hours. I've tried everything I can think of. Very frustrating.

This is my go to light when going up to the attic. Bright, reliable, and works like a lamp. Otherwise, it is too big to carry around.
