100% titanium mentioned but in the construction it talks about steel as well. Titanium is a poor thermal conductor as well. There is nothing wrong with Carbon steel or a good stainless steel pan if your looking to get away from coated pans.

Lots of lies in the description. I prefer a nice heavy (3mm thick) carbon steel pan. Seems like carbon steel is less likely to warp too.

Even the really pricey titanium pan, the titanium is just a coating. I'm just suspect the quality of this pan at only $39. The Viking Pureglide are supposed to be the best quality and it performs slightly worse than non-stick coating and will last a lifetime

So is it steel or titanium? 39 dollars worries me in exactly how much titanium your actually getting.

Titanium pans are mostly made of stainless steel with a very thin layer of titanium infused to the top layer where it provides a nonstick surface along with other benefits. There are no 100% titanium pans.

The biggest lie is that this is a paella.

FYI these are basically like a stainless steel pan but a little lighter. Not that thats a bad thing, but dont expect this to perform any nonstick miracles like teflon camcerpans can. These sre nonstick only for people willing to properly heat up and grease it like cooking on stainless steel. Otherwise everything sticks.

Anything that isn't stainless steel, carbon steel, or cast iron is disposable. It's crap. There are no exceptions, just varying levels of crappiness.

You mean you are still skeptical after reading that "Authority-backed" and "high testing standards" claims?

It's clad, the top layer is titanium. I have one and it works really well but it still requires preheating and a touch of fat for it to be nonstick, less setup than stainless steel but not by much.

We purchased a set of 3 different sizes three months ago for our new induction cooktop. 8" and 10" are great, 12" is a bit too large. Everyone saying that you need to preheat and give it some lubricant is correct. The dimpled surface is great at retaining oil, butter, or whatever you are using to lube it. The price we paid for all three was not a slick deal at all(~280)

So I got this pan today because I was eyeing titanium skillets for a while, but they've been fairly expensive. I made an egg with small amount of oil and butter. It did not stick at all. I don't know how long this pan will keep its nonstick properties, but so far so good.
