It is a big step up from my old monoprice gaming monitor, if the controls on the right aren't an issue for you then this seems like an easy recommendation at this price. I just happen to switch my middle monitor regularly between work and home computers and didn't even think to look into control location beforehand (all mine have been either center bottom or right side low enough that they were easy to use from bottom.
