if you can wait that means you don't need it now, so don't buy it

Community Reviews

The MacBook Air M5 stands out as a strong value for buyers chasing Apple silicon performance, especially in higher memory and storage trims like 24GB and 1TB. The thread highlights past prices around $749 to $899, with several recent buys near $1,049 to $1,149 and praise for the 24GB and 1TB configuration at this level. Pricing has moved sharply upward since a recent hike, so older lows are unlikely to return soon. AppleCare is not price matched, and the best value may depend on catching the right configuration or an open box or price match opportunity.

Common Questions (4)

  • Prior prices mentioned include about $899 in May, around $749 on earlier deals, and $1050 for the 24GB/1TB model in June. Those lower prices were before a later price hike, so they may not return soon.

  • Yes, the 24GB/1TB configuration at this price is considered a strong buy, especially compared with the much higher prices seen after the hike. It was also previously seen around $1050, which makes the current pricing stand out.

    slimdunkin117phoinixFabulousScene9195

  • Best Buy already matched the 16GB/512GB price, and one buyer also used a Best Buy match to get an open-box excellent unit for $983. AppleCare is not price matched, so add-ons may not follow the same discount.

    MtF4392MaroonGuitar7427unknownpaper

  • The current market is described as abnormal after a recent price hike, and those earlier lows are not expected to return soon. Black Friday is more likely to bring bundles than much cheaper base configurations.

There were but after the price hike a couple months ago, they likely won't hit those prices again.

Why'd you return it? Did you not like something in particular about it?

Probably had buyers remorse cause he didn't actually need it, and thought prices would come down..jokes on him tho
Half true. I did return it cause I didn't need it, have m1 still works well. But I knew prices weren't coming down cause the prices had already increased

Good price. If you need it, buy it. Don't expect that prices are going to come back down any time soon. Component shortages are expected to continue through 2028

I got the 24GB/1TB for $1050 in June .It was such a great deal . After I picked up , the next day price went up $1999. It's crazy to see the price difference.

You and me both! I got the 13" 24gb/1tb for $1049 but had my heart set on the 15" if I was gonna get one .... 2 weeks later the 15" 24gb/1tb went for $1149 and I pulled the trigger again. Now I have 2 I didn't really need, but since I got such a good deal on em I was not returning them.

Oh wow . You scored both the deals ? I saw both 13 & 15" deals . It was very tempting & I was resisting it hard not to pull the trigger on both . I It was such a nice deal . Corrections: I got the 15 inch sky blue for $1150 and did not go for the 13 inch .
