if you can wait that means you don't need it now, so don't buy it

Community Reviews

The MacBook Air M5 stands out as a strong value for buyers chasing Apple silicon performance, especially in higher memory and storage trims like 24GB and 1TB. The thread highlights past prices around $749 to $899, with several recent buys near $1,049 to $1,149 and praise for the 24GB and 1TB configuration at this level. Pricing has moved sharply upward since a recent hike, so older lows are unlikely to return soon. AppleCare is not price matched, and the best value may depend on catching the right configuration or an open box or price match opportunity.

  • The 24GB/1TB configuration at the deal price is described as a really good deal.

    slimdunkin117

  • Best Buy price matching and an open-box excellent unit can reduce the effective cost for a 13-inch MacBook Air M5.

    MaroonGuitar7427

  • A 24GB/1TB purchase at $1050 in June is described as a strong deal before rapid price changes.

    FabulousScene9195

  • The deal can be improved further when a Best Buy match is combined with an Amex cash back offer.

    bugsy22

  • AppleCare add-ons are not price-matched, so the deal price may not apply to AppleCare.

    unknownpaper

  • Prices reportedly jumped quickly after earlier purchases, which can make the deal feel time-sensitive.

    FabulousScene9195

  • Lower prices seen earlier may be unlikely to return after a couple-months-ago price hike.

    Unmixable4

  • The current market is described as abnormal, with expectations that Black Friday may rely more on bundles than lower base prices.

There were but after the price hike a couple months ago, they likely won't hit those prices again.

Why'd you return it? Did you not like something in particular about it?

Probably had buyers remorse cause he didn't actually need it, and thought prices would come down..jokes on him tho
Half true. I did return it cause I didn't need it, have m1 still works well. But I knew prices weren't coming down cause the prices had already increased

Good price. If you need it, buy it. Don't expect that prices are going to come back down any time soon. Component shortages are expected to continue through 2028

I got the 24GB/1TB for $1050 in June .It was such a great deal . After I picked up , the next day price went up $1999. It's crazy to see the price difference.

You and me both! I got the 13" 24gb/1tb for $1049 but had my heart set on the 15" if I was gonna get one .... 2 weeks later the 15" 24gb/1tb went for $1149 and I pulled the trigger again. Now I have 2 I didn't really need, but since I got such a good deal on em I was not returning them.

Oh wow . You scored both the deals ? I saw both 13 & 15" deals . It was very tempting & I was resisting it hard not to pull the trigger on both . I It was such a nice deal . Corrections: I got the 15 inch sky blue for $1150 and did not go for the 13 inch .
