USB2 speeds. These are primarily charging cables, not data transfer.

Made by the beats. Must mean your music will sound better with more bass if you use them to justify the price. (Sarcasm)

In seriousness I wouldn't touch these unless your a brand flasher. It's not even TB4 120W rated, which I'm trying to see how they could justify this price.

Terrible transfer speeds. I don't understand how this is a deal at all. At $7 per cable sale price, you can buy 200+W cables from a reputable brand like Cable Matters or even Anker.

These are good. Not nearly as good as Monster Cable cables, though. Better to pay twice the price of these. And don't even think of paying 1/3 the price for cables that do the same thing but have the wrong logo on them!

Too many dummies itt. This is basically an OEM Apple cable which cost $20 for a 3ft (the same that comes with new iPhones) .. Except these are 5ft long and are a 2 pack with same nice materials as the oem cable..

Most laptops are 65W. So, these cables shouldn't be used to charge laptops?

You can still use them, you just won't get the full charging speed. If you try to charge while using the computer, you'll likely get a slow drain rather than actually charging. To charge (albeit slower), you'll have to turn off the computer.

Re: Apple CarPlay, just FYI to my fellow Slickers that I was using this exact cable for wired CarPlay on a 2020 Accord, worked perfectly for a 16 Pro Max. It no longer works for my new 18 Pro. I went back to the burly Anker Powerline II USB-C to USB 3.1 Gen2 cable and it's playing nice again. It might get fixed via an update and YMMV but just wanted to throw my experience out there.

100W cable is recommended for charging laptops.
Those often go on sale at 2 for $7.

I would not bother with lower rated cables anymore.
100W cables are thicker/stiffer but versatile.

Put it this way. We are already at USB 4.0. so USB 2.0 is basically ancient technology. We are talking 480 Mbit/s for this, VS 80 Gbits/s for the latest protocol. That makes the latest protocol over 8,000% faster than 2.0. Even USB 3.0 is over 1000% faster than 2.0. It's almost useless for transferring large amounts of data. Comparatively, a 6-minute data transfer on 3.0 will take 1 hour on 2.0 and even USB 3.0 is slow VS USB 4

These are fine for CarPlay because during CarPlay, data is being read in real time as the music is being played so even slow-ass USB 2 should be adequate. Now if you're trying to transfer larger ammounts of data on the other hand, it'll take 10 times longer (1 hour vs 6 minutes) to transfer the equal amount of data vs USB 3. Thats because USB 2.0 is only 480 Mbit/s vs 5 Gbit/s for USB 3, and USB 4 is roughly 10 times, or 1000% faster than 3, so the 2.0 protocol is basically ancient technology, but back to playing music,.. a three-minute song even at a high quality 320 kbps is only around 7 to 10 megabytes in size so the speed only needs to be able to transfer 7 to 10 mb over the course of the entire length of the song which is likely a few minutes. Even USB2.0 shouldn't have a problem transferring just a few megabytes worth of data in 3 to 4 minutes.
