Weren't these $219 a month or so ago? I ended up deciding to hold out for the XM7 due out next spring as they will finally support lossless audio.

Are these worth 2X the XM5s? I had the XM5s on my watchlist from Secondipity and they offered me an additional discount, making them about half these.

I would take xm5 at half of xm6. Just be careful and you won't break the hinges

dang didnt realize they were gonna release a new one, i like the xm6s i just got but i wear glasses and would love the thicker pads to help with it but alas.... itll probably cost a lot too so ill hold out for when those go on a sale like this in a few years haha

I had a chance to try both and personally I really like the XM6s. Coming from Xm4 that lasted over 5 years before dying last mine. The better folding design, magnetic case and anc are big winners for me. I have a 2hr roundtrip train commute 3x weekly and fly from sf to nyc every 6 weeks + trips to Lon quarterly and they're super comfy watching movies or playing on my Steam deck. I wish it had usbc wired listening but otherwise it's great.

Yeah, it will support Bluetooth 6 and a few other notable improvements. That said, if it's out next spring, it may likely be next summer or fall before refurbs are available. If you need new headphones now that's obviously not a great solution. But if you can hold off it should be worth the wait.

Not sure how the hinges are compard to the XM3, but I've been using the XM3 for 8 years now with zero issues with the hinges.
