Xfinity is offering pre-paid 50 Mbps WiFi Internet service for $10/month.
You get unlimited bandwidth, but are limited to two active devices and must be in range of an Xfinity hotspot. Effectively this means apartment/condo residents in cities as the Xfinity hotspots are served up by commercial and residential gateways.
Basically, if you can see an open xfinitywifi SSID and connect to it, you can use the service. Service works at any Xfinity hotspot, not just the one you signed up on.
This deal obviously won't be for everyone, but if you live in a city, have an Xfinity hotspot visible from your home, are not a heavy user, and don't want to pay a big Internet bill $10/mo isn't a bad price.
