Dave's Hot Chicken is giving everyone a free Slider on Tuesday, October 13, no purchase necessary. The fourth annual giveaway has a new name, Dave's Day, and this year the brand is celebrating the guests whose love helped make it one of the country's most loved brands.
Dave's was recently named Yelp's No. 1 Most Loved Brand,* and it's saying thank you with the Slider that helped build its following. Guests can claim one free Slider through the Dave's Hot Chicken app in-store at participating restaurants on October 13. No purchase is required.

No purchase required with free online ordering makes me think these stores are gonna get overwhelmed.

My memory is kinda fuzzy, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the previous years you had to show up at the restaurant to scan the reward in order to get the free slider. It's essentially you having to show up, line up, and order there. A lot of people were complaining about long lines, and it's not worth the time.

2 years ago i went up to the worker at the door and asked if I can buy something and get the free slider, he said yes. Skipped the line. Last year, the worker said no. They changed the rules. Seems like the kids took a day off to get the slider.

You are correct. I waited for 1 hour last year.

I have two rewards - one free regular soda and the free slider. Can you stack these at store during pickup?

It seems you can order ahead in App, but you still have to scan in store. Hoping there will be many people processing these orders.

Okay if you order through App you have to pay for it at the end. How does the free occur - do they reswipe your card with a credit?
