Stay away from wyze products. They seem to screw over their customers over and over with very little communication

How so? Aside from the annual subscriptions and constant offline status of devices…

They gaslight people with issues and basically tell them to F off when they finally get called out with it. Look into the wyze motion sensors v1 for some epic reading

I complained once about my V2 outdoor camera getting water damaged, but they just replied that other customers had good experiences with it.

Does anyone still trust these guys, after the multiple undisclosed security vulnerabilities?

Who hasn't had security vulnerabilities these days? If you want none, host your own security cameras and network and don't rely on a company to do it.

There's having a vuln and then there's not disclosing it for 18 months after the fact. Do you see the difference?

Unlike Reolink and Tapo, you can't drive any home automations from a Wyze cam without paying $$. I haven't bought any of their products in years.

Oh man, after my v1 door sensors basically stopped being supported on any newer cameras I bought into their v2 sensor kit to only be forced into signing up for a trial of their monitoring service. Then found out theres no way to cancel it without dealing with manually requesting cancellation by contacting their horrible CS.

I like their cameras for the most part, but I'm probably done with them when my current ones need replacing. The quality of their support matches the budget nature of their brand, and they've downgraded previously free features to be behind pay walls multiple times now. If you need to pay for every little thing, there's better options out there.
