MSI did one better and you can delay the refresh up to 12 or 14 hours? And now there's OLEDs with person detection so the screen turns off when your away. The person detection feature doesn't cost that much to implement, so they're sometimes in the $300-400 range.
I tried the Acer from Costco. Returned it becomes the refresh cycle would activate even when my PC was idle for 8 hours, no screen. And until I pressed "start" for the refresh cycle to begin, the refresh dialog would just stay stuck on the screen. 🤦
Looks to be a repackaged Acer Predator monitor. Identical in every aspect and $110 more. This seems like a great deal at $269. Reviews positive.
Pretty happy with the performance and colors so far. The included stand is pretty cheap plastic as others have noted, and you can really only tilt it; no vertical adjustment sadly. Also, more importantly, the included HDMI cable was only able to hit 144hz, which is far from the advertised 240hz. I swapped in a display port cable from my second monitor and was able to get the advertised 240hz refresh rate.
I'm also not sure if you need an ICC profile or color calibration but there was a factory color calibration sheet shoved into the box, so I suppose there's that.

Good to hear you like it. Yeah, I'm also thinking of getting one of each, but the second one will be sometime down the line. Enjoy the new monitor.
