The only issue I have had with Wyze is their lightbulbs, I have the full array of products, the cameras,sensors, locks, vacuum without issues. This is a good deal

I was a loyal Wyze customer until they stripped nearly all functions unless you are a paid subscriber. It irks me when they wrote software to kill SD Cards - the cards eventually get corrupted making it useless. Get Tapo instead.

This camera specifically has corrupted a sd drive and will never stay at waypoint. I own every Wyze product. They do fail eventually but this didn't work as advertised out of the box. The duo pan however is decent.

wut? I have like 20 wyze cameras including this 4k pan and no card has ever died. I use high or max endurance cards.

Same here. I have multiple solar powered units and 4 hardwired units. All with cards and no problems. I also live in AZ, where the sun tries to kill us 8mo out of the year.

Also have never had to replace a card on any of my cameras. Also using Samsung Endurance Pro cards and some cards I've used in 3 different versions of cameras. So NO, the cameras nor does Wyze purposely kill SD cards in their devices. Either a generic or crappy card used, or maybe water or dust intrusion into the SD slot?

Wyze sucks. They stopped supporting sd cards

The live feature also has a lag before notification. My ex broke into my house turned the camera before I was even notified of any motion.

Wyze had so much potential, and they started out with such great intentions and really cool features. Then between their shift to pushing their subscription models, branching out into any random consumer electronic that they could get produced cheaply, and and their security problems, they quickly turned into just another middling electronics company.

While it may not have been economically feasible for them to continue on the path they set out on, it didn't seem like there were any compelling reasons to stick with them.

I bought a Cam v4 in June 2024 and the last firmware update broke it. No, reboots, resets, formats or restarts do not fix it. So if you buy this then based on past performance you can expect at most 3 years before Wyze "updates" your cam and you won't be able to use it anymore.
