Picked up Harbor Freight's 13kw Predator over the weekend but haven't committed to opening it yet since I may still return. Would rather get an inverter generator since the THD is significantly better. This brand is a little sketchy though, but for an inverter, its currently half the price of others in the market...anyone own this?

My neighbor has this one. It's been so far he said. I was a little worried about the seller. Seems like a good deal.

Pulsar is a very well known and established generator manufacturer. They do a lot of private labeling too.
I am trying to avoid generator swapping.... have one that barely has any hours on it, it was $$$ (maybe 5-6 years ago). I'd love to upgrade to an inverter but I'll probably take a bath on the other gen (which is actually a private labeled Pulsar).
Dual/tri fuel..... meh Maybe it's useful in some situations but at this size you're probably not really using this as a portable (weighs 125lb), which means you pretty much know what fuel you're going to use.

The only reason I would like to have accessibilty to NG is in the latest instance in the midwest where we lost significant power across NW Indiana and all gas stations were out of power except 2 stations for 2 days. So cars were lined up down the road a mile or 2 long. Eventually the stations ran out of gas and people were scrambling or running to different cities to fuel up. I usually have around 20 gallons of ethanol free gas at home for my small engines so i'm prepared, but would still like the option to tap NG (although i know its significantly reduced output)
My generator is an old craftsman 6500 watt that is over 20 years old. Its been around the block (literally--loaning it to friends, neighbors and family) I change oil religiously after every run, and only fuel with ethanol free. Haven't had any issues or carb in over 20 years but thinking of finally upgrading to inverter and I recently put in a 50A interlock on my panel and a soft start on my AC so i can freely run all my stuff...

I personally think having a duel fuel generator is super important if you are worried about multi-day outage, especially since LP stores for nearly forever (so you don't have to use it up quickly if you don't need it), can be used for cooking, heating, and power, does not clog up the carb..... BUT you have the option to use gas in a pinch. Not to mention I'm the northern part of the South, so hurricanes and snow storms can cause outages so I tend to keep plenty of LP all year long and sometimes you have no idea what fuel you are going to be able to come across since almost no gas stations around my area have backup generators and the ones that do...have lines a mile down the road. Wasting gas just to buy more

That wasn't my point but also note generators chow LP. It's actually not a great fuel for a longer-term outage. Propane gets about ~ 15% less runtime than gas for similarly-sized tanks - a 20lb cylinder is about 4.5 gallons. The tank on this is 6.6 gallons, so I would expect a tank of propane to run for around ~ 55-60% as long as a full tank of gasoline (which is apparently 10hrs @ 50% load).
