Costco's Nintendo eGift card promo is a strong way to stretch Nintendo spending, especially for Switch 2, games, and other hardware. The cards can be split because each has its own code, and the discount stacks with Costco email coupons and Member Appreciation Days. Some orders arrive within hours, though codes can lag and a few checkouts are getting canceled. The main limits are account verification, name mismatches, and purchase caps, so it works best when the Costco account is fully set up.
Shoppers stacking store promotions, because the cards can combine with Costco email discounts and still reduce the total cost of a Switch 2 purchase.
Nintendo Switch buyers who want to prepay a console purchase, because the credit can be used toward hardware and leaves leftover eShop balance.
Members buying in bulk for future game spending, because the cards can be loaded or applied at checkout and the balance limit is high enough for large purchases.
Families splitting Nintendo credit across multiple accounts, because each card has its own code and the pack can be divided among different people.
Buyers who need a frictionless online checkout, because orders can be cancelled and may require account verification or support intervention.
Shoppers who need instant digital delivery, because codes can take hours to arrive after order confirmation.
People expecting to use Nintendo digital funds at physical Nintendo stores, because eShop balance cannot pay at the New York or San Francisco locations.
Shoppers who need a simple one-and-done bulk order, because Nintendo limits transactions per account and can flag repeated purchases as exceeding quantity.

I'm very wary about building up a digital gift card balance for Nintendo or PlayStation as I'm sure the end goal is to keep prices inflated and control all sales for themselves as sales of physical games are slowly phased out. I'm sure many of the physical copies of games I've grabbed in the $10-30 range over the past 25 years on Slickdeals will be in their digital stores for $40-60 with only very rare discounts that they have complete control over. Plenty of those games are ones I probably would not have bought if they hadn't been on sale.

It could be that the 1st party games stagnate on pricing a bit, but all the 3rd parties will still be competing for your dollar. I'm not suggesting loading up to $800, but I'm personally going to grab $200 or so I think.
Be sure to track the games you want on dekudeals or similar so you know when they hit a price you are happy with.
