Costco's Nintendo eGift card promo is a strong way to stretch Nintendo credit for Switch hardware, games, and eShop purchases, with the discount stacking cleanly in several carts and even pairing with Costco email coupons. The cards arrive digitally, each code is separate, and the balance can be used toward consoles or split across multiple purchases. The main friction is checkout, where some orders are canceled or delayed and account verification or support calls may be needed. A practical option if you want Nintendo credit without paying full price.
Common Questions (5)
Common triggers include account verification issues and mismatches between the billing/shipping name and the credit card name. Verifying the Costco account first or calling customer support can resolve the cancellation and allow the codes to be issued.
Yes. A Costco.com $50-off-$500 email offer has been used successfully with these cards, and shoppers also combined multiple discounted packs to reach the $500 threshold for the coupon.
Yes. The cards can be used for games, hardware, and other Nintendo purchases, and a recent policy change allows eShop balance to be applied to consoles at checkout. They are not limited to digital-only content.
Delivery can take a few hours after order confirmation, and some orders arrive the same day while others take about half a day. A delay alone does not necessarily mean the order is cancelled.
The current U.S. eShop balance cap is $800. An older $250 limit is outdated, so you can load more credit before hitting the ceiling.

Gonna keep the Switch 1 to have as an extra Switch (mostly for me lol) and use the virtual game cards feature

If you want those separately from the eshop, it's $500 + $60 + $35 = $695, using the gift cards, you would need 7x $100 gift cards, which is $560 from Costco gift cards.
All prices are before taxes, so you would save $10.
Also, there are bundles with games exclusive to Nintendo that Costco doesn't have, and also Costco has exclusives (right now, there's digital Pokopia bundle at costco for $580).

So you're saving $90 not $10.
